DNS
This manual describes how to configure the Upstream DNS Server Settings on the IACBOX. You can find these settings in the WebAdmin menu Network under the tab General Settings.
General
The IACBOX supports settings two upstream DNS servers. A primary and a fallback server can be configured. It is possible to choose a preset DNS server from the dropdown menu or to enter a custom DNS server IP address.
The IP address input field supports IPv4 and IPv6 addresses as well as custom port numbers (e.g. 192.168.178.1:5353 or [2001:4860:4860::8888]:53).

Support for DoT-Servers (DNS over TLS) was introduced in version v24.2.DNS over TLS (DoT) Servers
You can check the option Use DNS over TLS (DoT) to enable encrypted DNS over TLS for upstream DNS requests. Please make sure that your custom DNS Server supports DoT before enabling this option. You will also need to enter the Server Name (TLS SNI) of your server for proper certificate validation.
